Women in Cinema Presents Camille Holder-Brown


Life as a Lemon Productions presents Women in Cinema Series featuring Award Winning Independent filmmaker, Camille Holder-Brown.  Director of "A Period Piece" Winner Best Student Picture at 2007 Daytona Film Festival.

About the Artist
Camille studied at University of Miami where she double majored in 
Anthropology  and Film, she later earned her MFA from 
Howard University where she made her  award-winning short 
“A Period Piece” winning The Paul Robson Award for Film 
sponsored by Final Draft and Kodak in addition to winning 
Best Student Film at the Daytona Beach Film Festival.  Her short film has aired 
nationally and has screened in over thirty film festivals.  
She has also studied film in Scotland and worked with acclaimed film directors Spike Lee and 
Haile Gerima.

Recently Camille attended the NBPC New Media Institute where she worked with other
 filmmakers in the Delta.  Presently, Camille resides in Brooklyn, New York 
with her husband and two small children that have inspired her first feature film,
 a comedy about parenting, entitled "Parenting 101".

Additionally, Camille splits her time as a full-time wife & mother while lecturing and serving as 
guest speaker for film festivals nationally.  She is the founder of 
Cinemomma Pictures, a collective group of creative artists dedicated to lifting the unit
